Marrton Dormish, co-founder & storyteller

Marrty is a Colorado native who earned his degree in journalism from the University of Missouri in 1997. He worked in the marketing and public relations industry for two years, and then he and his wife, Angela, served as campus ministers in New Mexico, Colorado and Spain for 10 years before founding Sharing Their Story. In 2008, he self-published On the Way, a short book about pilgrimage that interweaves fiction, history and the story of Jesus. When he’s not reading, researching, wrestling with his kids, or following his favorite sports teams, he enjoys exploring the small creeks along Colorado’s Front Range with his fly rod.

Angela Dormish, co-founder & connector

Angela grew up in Marshfield, Missouri, in the heart of the Ozarks. She and Marrty met during a summer mission trip to Hungary in 1995 and got married a year-and-a-half later. Angela graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in elementary education in 1999. She is as a homeschooler, a part-time public school teacher, an adoption advocate, a volunteer for From HIV to Home, and a blogger. She and Marrty live in Broomfield, Colorado, with their four kids — Maegan, Ryan, Addison and Anthony.

Heath Haussamen, social media

Heath grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and now lives in Las Cruces, which is where he got to know the Dormishes. He currently owns and runs the political news Web site NMPolitics. He enjoys spending time with his wife and friends in addition to reading, writing, photography, and being outdoors. Heath has a passion for helping and empowering people and believes Sharing Their Story has the potential to do a lot of good.

Peter Lively, special projects

Peter hails from Roswell, NM, and is a proud graduate of the University of New Mexico (UNM). He has a special gift for filmmaking and hopes to someday direct feature-length films. His passions include good movies, the UNM Lobos and San Francisco pro franchises, and authentic New Mexican green chili. He lives in Westminster, Colo., with his wife, Alana, and their two daughters, Katie and Ellie.

Alana Lively, special projects

Alana is talented artist whose drawings, illustrations and portraits are in growing demand. With Peter, she recently co-created the short-film Sunrising Tears, which won second place in the 72-hour Mocksides Film Contest. She and Angela roomed together during a summer mission trip to Hungary in 1995, and Alana was one of the first people to hear about Angela’s crush on Marrty.

Nikki Vos, special projects

Nikki grew up in Iowa and moved to Colorado by way of Arizona. For the last 11 years, she has been involved in starting and growing a ministry that offers support and tangible care to those facing challenging circumstances. Nikki joined Sharing Their Story out of a passion to respond sacrificially to people in need both locally and globally, and she enjoys turning ideas into realities. Nikki has two kids — Brandt and Coral.
