We don’t make asking for donations a big part of our message. We’d much rather encourage those who connect with STS to direct their financial resources towards the Problems, group of People, and Places they are passionate about, BUT if you’ve found your way here and you’d like to become one of our financial partners by donating to our work, here are some things you’ll need to know. (Thanks, by the way!)
Like non-profits such as Charity: Water and iEmpathize, we raise our entire administrative overhead ourselves. (That includes salary, travel, materials, etc.) That way when we speak and work in the community we can point folks 100% to needy people, projects and issues related to their special vocations of service. In other words, we don’t want to focus on asking for financial contributions for ourselves when we’re out sharing our message, in person or online.
For overall accountability and to keep from having to build our organizational and financial infrastructure from scratch, we’ve affiliated with Global Service Associates (GSA), a non-profit order of entrepreneurs in mission. Any gift you give for us, will be processed through GSA on our behalf. Your donation can go to our co-founders or to a project account (for special initiatives), but at this early stage of STS, giving toward our individual support would be most helpful.
Here are two ways to give:
- Online — To give a one-time gift or a recurring gift with your credit card or bank account via the secure online service Vanco, CLICK HERE and follow the prompts. (Be sure to type “Dormish” in the text box to the right of “Staff Member Support.”)
- Mail a check — You can also send your first tax-deductible gift, made out to “Global Service Associates,” to: Global Service Office, P.O. Box 20425, Boulder, CO 80308. Be sure to write “Dormish” in the memo line of your check.
If you haven’t already, please read more about the benefits of joining our network.
Thank you for your partnership in helping inspire, inform and awaken the sharing of many new, true stories about the meeting of our deep gladness and the world’s deep need!
