Powers: The Serial

On Jan. 15, 2011, we announced the online publication of Powers: The Serial, our new monthly series that follows the lives of a diverse cast of true-to-life characters. While Powers: The Serial is based on true stories happening in our world today, it is a fictional series with fictional characters.
The “serial” is a venerable medium for telling stories in which segments of an overall work are published one chapter or one episode at a time. Many of the novels of Charles Dickens, for example, were published in serial form. More importantly for our purposes, serials are making a popular comeback, and we believe ours will help us tell aspects of certain stories that we otherwise could not due to security concerns or the need for confidentiality.
We plan to publish successive episodes once a month and we hope you come to look forward to each one. For now, experience:
